ESCRITURAS EN PRESENTE CONTINUO                                    MAA MO MÍ ME MUU/ Pieza Coreográfica para exposición colectiva

En el marco de la conmemoración del 8M, Día Internacional de la Mujer. Underbelly (Sandra Sánchez y Mariel Vela. CDMX) curaduría invitada por el Museo Cabañas, me invitó a participar en una exposición colectiva con técnicas multidisciplinarias, partiendo de la premisa de que la escritura puede fijar un modo de vida usando al lenguaje como ley, pero también posibilitar un cambio en el presente, al trazar caminos diversos que conforman un común más justo.

Año: 2021                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Statement: En un mundo material, twitter podría ser una de tantas grandes urbes, donde debido a la especulación inmobiliaria, nos obliga a vivir en departamentos reducidos de 120 caracteres, sin poder divisar horizontes.

Durante la pandemia y el confinamiento vivimos de otra manera la idea espacial: su materialidad fue sustituida vorazmente por las redes. Me resultó urgente crear otros ritmos, amplitudes y vacíos en el TL, hackear ese espacio y crear respiros en esa saturación. Abrir el espacio virtual y salir de s propio encierro. Es así que  empecé a crear coreografías-espacialidades y temporalidades en el TL twitter,   otras  relaciones con las grafías, otros diálogos desde la abstracción, pensando en el poder político -incluso restaurativo- de ese espacio que crea respiros.

No todos lxs cuerpxs escriben igual sólo por compartir una gramática. Sabemos que la escritura puede fijar un modo de vida, usando al lenguaje como ley, pero también posibilitar un cambio en el presente, al trazar caminos diversos que conforman un común más justo o, incluso, inesperado. Su potencia de reunir a lxs cuerpxs, de reelaboración y palimpsesto, concierne a esta exposición, en la que cuestionamos su neutralidad fantasmal para no dar por hecho su género, sus funciones y sus posibles identificaciones.

As part of the commemoration of 8M, International Women’s Day. Underbelly (Sandra Sánchez and Mariel Vela. CDMX), a curatorship invited by the Cabañas Museum, invited me to participate in a collective exhibition with multidisciplinary techniques, based on the premise that writing can establish a way of life using language as law, but also make possible a change in the present, by tracing different paths that make up a fairer common.

Year: 2021                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Statement: In a material world, Twitter could be one of many large cities, where due to real estate speculation, it forces us to live in reduced appartments of 120 characters, without being able to see horizons. During the pandemic and confinement, we lived the idea of ​​space in a different way: its materiality was voraciously replaced by networks. It was urgent for me to create other rhythms, amplitudes and gaps in the TL, to hack that space and create breaths in that saturation. Open the virtual space and get out of its own confinement. This is how I began to create choreographies-spatialities and temporalities in the twitter’s TL, other relationships with the graphs, other dialogues from abstraction, thinking about the political power -even restorative- of that space that creates breathing spaces.

Part of the curatorial text: Not all bodies write the same just to share a grammar. We know that writing can fix a way of life, using language as law, but also enable a change in the present, by tracing different paths that make up a fairer or even unexpected common. Its power to bring bodies together, of reworking and palimpsest, concerns this exhibition, in which we question its ghostly neutrality so as not to take its gender, its functions and its possible identifications for granted.
