COREÓGRAFA Y PERFORMER
En medio de la pandemia por COVID19, el Indonesian Dance Festival decidió continuar con su emisión en línea, (IDF2020.zip), cuyo tema central sería DAYA: CARI CARA (En Indonesio DAYA “ resiliencia para enfrentar situaciones difíciles” y CARI CARA “buscando caminos”) como una metáfora de lo que el mundo y las artes escénicas experimentaban en ese momento. Así nació el programa Layar Terkembang (Velas ondulantes), un viaje virtual en el que varios coreógrafos invitadxs, locales e internacionales, fuimos invitados a compartir nuestra energía y generar optimismo y unión durante este momento desafiante de la pandemia mundial, a partir de una pequeña pieza artística en formato de video, que sería compartida en el sitio web del IDF.
El único optimismo del que podía hablar, era el de estar más consciente durante el día, que estaba viviendo el día y qué hay relaciones esenciales que recuperar, como con la tierra.
Entonces hice una pequeña danza para reforestar el mundo

COREOGRAPHER AND PERFORMER
In the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, the Indonesian Dance Festival decided to continue with an online broadcast, (IDF2020.zip), whose central theme would be DAYA: Cari Cara ( In indonesian DAYA as “resilience to face difficult situations” and CARI CARA as “looking for ways” ) as a metaphor for what the world and the performing arts were experiencing at the time. Thus was born the Layar Terkembang (Undulating Sails) program, a virtual journey in which several local and international invited choreographers were invited to share our energy and generate optimism and unity during this challenging time of the global pandemic, starting from a small artistic piece in video format, which would be shared on the IDF website.
The only optimism I could speak of was being more aware during the day, that I was living the day and that there are essential relationships to recover, such as with the earth.
