INSTALACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA-SONORA-VISUAL

El proyecto SOLAR, fue creado con motivo de la celebración del 25 Festival de México en el Centro Histórico (Fmx) bajo la iniciativa de Mariana Arteaga y Tania Solomonoff. La palabra SOLAR se refiere a una porción de terreno donde se ha edificado o que se ha destinado a edificar. Así, en la intervención de SOLAR, se invitaron a dos coreógrafos, un artista visual y un artista sonoro,  para edificar un diálogo rompiendo las fronteras de sus disciplinas en el Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco, un espacio que lleva tras de sí, un sinfín de significados. El reto también fue para el espectador, que podía detenerse, observar y reaccionar en confrontación con sucesos simultáneos, que iban ocurriendo en diversos espacios de este emblemático edificio. SOLAR buscó plasmar una reflexión corporal sobre el mundo que habitamos – desde los lugares más universales hasta los recovecos más íntimos- marcada por acontecimientos que han intervenido directamente en  el cotidiano de los artistas invitados.

The solar project was created to celebrate the 25th anniversay of the Festival of Mexico in the Historic Center (Fmx) under the initiative of Mariana Arteaga and Tania Solomonoff. The word SOLAR refers to a piece of land in which has been built or is intended to build in. Thus, at the SOLAR’s intervention, two choreographers, a visual and a sound artist were invited to build a dialogue breaking the boundaries of their disciplines in the Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco, a leading space with endless meanings behind it. The challenge was also for the audience, that could stop, observe and react in confrontation with simultaneous events that were taking place in different areas of this iconic building. SOLAR  sought to capture a body reflection of the world we inhabit -from the most universal to the innermost recesses- marked by events that were directly involved in the daily life of the guest artists.
